This is the second book in the Eternal Port Valley series and is also able to be read as a standalone novel, however reading the first book added to my immersion into the plot. I enjoyed the first book in the series and this one was even better! I felt immediately connected to the hardworking female main character and was rooting for her throughout the book. The main character's from book one were seamlessly included in this story, and it was great to be able to see the progression of their relationship in the background of the story. I loved that this story was fast paced and I couldn't read it fast enough. There were a number of spelling and wording errors, which disrupted my reading at times, but didn't significantly impact the story. The ending left me hopeful and eager to read the next book to see where these character's lives will take them. 4 Stars!
