Goodreads Synopsis: Amelie has always been a survivor, from losing her parents as a child in Paris to making it on her own in London. As she builds a life for herself, she is swept up into a glamorous lifestyle where she married the handsome billionaire Ned Hawthorne. But then, Amelie wakes up in a pitch-black room, not knowing where she is. Why has she been taken? Who are her mysterious captors? And why does she soon feel safer here, imprisoned, than she had begun to feel with her husband Ned? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59808228-the-prisoner Thank you to B.A. Paris and NetGalley for providing me with an ebook copy of The Prisoner for me to read and review. Wow! B.A. Paris did it again! What an awesome, captivating, addictive read! I was immediately hooked with the way the story jumped right into the thick of the action and then gave us little bits of background and depth through the multiple timelines portrayed in part 1. I loved the way Paris wrote the main character with such description and depth. It allowed me to really feel connected to her and sympathize with her situation. And what a plot! The twists and turns were wild enough to give me whiplash and I didn't know who could be trusted. It took me on a wild ride of emotions, uncertainty, and fear and left me aching for a sequel. Definitely a must-read! 5 Stars!

Goodreads Synopsis: Jada Scott has chosen to fill a rather unique position at Dual Construction. One minute she's in the courtroom examining the witness and the next... well let's just say she's the one being examined. Regardless, Jada is willing to put it all on the line to work for Ashton Kent. A gorgeous CEO that brings new meaning to the saying a closed mouth doesn't get fed. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62884225-his-mouth-piece Thank you to Nicki Grace for providing me with an ebook copy of His Mouth Piece for me to read and review. What a wild ride of spicy scenarios. Pun intended. Grace's novel is filled with spicy sexual content, but balanced with a unique and interesting plot. The dominant and submissive roles was a huge part of the characters' relationship and I loved that Grace was able to portray the female main character as such a strong, confident, independent woman while still enjoying that submissive role. This is definitely a must-read for all lovers of unique smutty romance! 5 Stars! Synopsis: A spicy fake relationship romance between an unconventional heroine and her uptight boss. The too proper man could never be interested in someone like her, despite one night together that completely changes her opinion on sex. Nicholas always has to be in charge. When he takes her to a ritzy event, he expects it to be a disaster. Instead he has fun, which has never been a part of his life. When her injury flares, he proposes a fake marriage, with added benefits besides insurance. Having her around will drive his father to distraction while Nicholas finishes what must be done. Plus he’ll get to keep her close for a little longer. Neither expect the sparks they feel to flame into much more. Now Nicholas must convince her he has nothing to offer before he proves he’s just like his father. He can’t risk her light being dimmed by the past he’ll never be able to leave behind. Thank you to Amber Warden and BookSirens for providing me with an ebook copy of Finding Instinct for me to read and review. Holy hot, hot, hot! This was the perfect balance between plot and spice. The characters were such interesting people with extremely unique pasts. I would have enjoyed learning a bit more details about their pasts but they developed so much throughout the story that I was really rooting for them to successfully overcome their challenges and roadblocks. And the chemistry was volcanic! This is book 3 in the Long Shot Tavern series and while it can be read on its own, having the prior knowledge from the previous books definitely added to the depth of the story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. 4 Stars! |
