Goodreads Synopsis: Two childhood friends. Two broken hearts. One impromptu road trip to get away from everything. That’s all this was supposed to be. Afterall, I’ve been living in the friend zone for years now. But hockey heartthrob Jasper Gervais isn’t looking at me like a friend anymore. And he isn’t touching me like one either. To his fans, he’s the handsome, talented athlete on TV. But to me he’s still the lost boy with sad eyes and a heart of gold. The man I’ve loved in secret for years. So when my life falls apart on my wedding day, it only makes sense that he’s the one to swoop in and save me. And when his world comes crashing down around him, I’m there to return the favor. But the more time we spend alone, the more Jasper doesn’t feel like a friend at all. He feels like everything I’ve ever wanted and thought I could never have. Our feelings aren’t straight forward though. They twist and turn around the pain of his past and the reality of my present. Jasper Gervais acts like he wants me. But after years of turning me away, he’s going to need to prove it. Powerless (Chestnut Springs, #3) by Elsie Silver | Goodreads Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better! Silver does such a great job developing plots that will keep you on the edge of your seat, laughing hysterically, and swooning all in the same chapter! There was so much great character development shown within the 2 main characters and I absolutely love that all of the characters from previous books in the series made appearances and played a role in this story. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next! Definitely one that I recommend! 5 Stars!

Schneider and Book Sirens for providing me with an ebook advanced copy of The Wife List for me to read and review! What an intriguing, addictive story! There were a few events early on in the story that were reminiscent of Verity by Colleen Hoover which I loved, so I was immediately drawn into the story and invested in the characters. The whole way through the plot had me on the edge of my seat wondering and worrying and tense waiting for the next traumatic turn of events. The further I read the more the story gave off similar vibes to B.A. Paris' The Breakdown. The very end of the story threw me for a bit of a loop with how certain things shifted gears so quickly and it felt a bit unrealistic. Overall a great read and one that I will be recommending! 4 Stars! Goodreads Synopsis: Zeus Doukas wasn’t prepared for overthrowing his father, the president of the Iron Vikings MC. It had to be done, though. No one walks away unscathed from betraying the club—not even the president. With an upcoming war on his hands, Zeus rescues Gwenn Ryan: a sexy and mouthy private investigator, kidnapped by his father’s new club. As Gwenn recovers from her injuries in his bed at the clubhouse, Zeus is determined to lead the Iron Vikings into a different direction and to keep Gwenn safe. The former soldier and P.I. fights him on every turn, convincing Zeus even more that the fascinating Gwenn would make a perfect president’s Old Lady. Gwenn had literally fought for years to earn respect in a male dominated environment such as the army. Even though she felt right at home hanging out with these crude and hardened men, nothing angered her more than the misogynistic bullshit going around in the IVMC clubhouse. Zeus persuades Gwenn to stay with him and his band of macho brothers for two weeks so he can figure out the mess with his father. The dirty, and very hot nights with the captivating young president of an outlaw MC almost make Gwenn forget why she needs to stay away from Zeus. But Zeus will find out soon enough that if he tries to keep Gwenn any longer; she’ll make her way out of his clubhouse with her guns blazing. WARNING: This book deals with open relationships in the club (sweetbutts), threesomes and voyeurism. The story contains violence, bad language as well as darker content some may find difficult to read. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58955589-zeus Thank you to Anna Castor and Book Sirens for providing me with an ebook copy or Zeus for me to read and review. Motorcycle club romances is not the typical trope that I would normally read, but the exciting and intriguing plot kept me interested all the way through. I loved that the female character was portrayed as such a strong, independent person. There were a couple of words and saying used incorrectly that disrupted the flow of my reading, but nothing thay seriously detracted from my enjoyment. Even though this book was outside the normal choice for me, Castor's writing had me truly invested in hoping for the characters to get what they needed and be successful. I will definitely be continuing on with the next book in the series! 4 Stars! Goodreads Synopsis: As the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Iron Vikings MC, Zeus is aware of the dangers that lurk in the shadows. Don’t miss out on this introduction novella (nine chapters) of the Iron Vikings MC series. Get swept away in club life and follow Zeus on his journey before he gets his own book in his and Gwenn’s story in Zeus - Iron Vikings MC 1. WARNING: This book deals with open relationships in the club (sweetbutts). The story contains violence, bad language, and adult situations, as well as darker content some may find difficult to read. Thank you to Anna Castor and BookSirens for providing me with an ebook copy of Prequel for me to read and review. This book was definitely outside of the tropes I normally gravitate towards, but something about the synopsis drew me in and I am glad it did. This was an interesting introduction to the world of the Iron Vikings Motorcycle Club and all the drama unfolding. It was a wealth of information and scenes introducing each of the characters and showing their roles. The dramatic cliffhanger ending had me hooked and I will immediately be jumping right into reading book 1 in the series! 5 Stars! Goodreads Synopsis: A hungry reporter. An angry executive. A man about to lose everything. And a family just fit to take the fall…until it all goes up in flames. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s hard-working, but Liz is also a bartender, a single mama, and an adult student. She’s none of the right things for me, and yet she’s everything I never knew that I was looking for. I’m so wrapped up in business affairs that I haven’t got a second to stop and let this happen, but all the same, I find myself with her. Problem is, she’s as stubborn as I am, and the last thing she wants is me. Liz thinks I’m not what she needs, and she’s right, until I’m everything, and I’m the only one that can save the one thing that she’s ever cared for since the moment it came into her life. *** Bryn’s a decent guy, sure. But he’s, like, a bajillionaire, and I so don’t want to be one of them types. After my deadbeat ex left me and Nate alone, I don’t want another man hanging around here, pretending like he wants to be here. After everything that this family has been through, I’m done with men, and I don’t need them, anyway. I’ve got everything I have from working hard, and it’s going to stay that way. But when Nate takes a liking to him, it makes it all that much harder to say no. And when Bryn starts to show his true colors, even when he thinks I’m not watching, well, that sure sweetens the pot. And then he does something so brave, so true, so meaningful, that I don’t have a choice but to give in...until a little stick tells me otherwise. Thank you to Sandra Alex for providing me with an ebook copy of Trespassers will be Prosecuted for me to read and review. What a way to revive the Ford Brothers series! I did not see that coming! This is the 6th book in the Ford Brothers series and it is the perfect mix of previous characters and all new characters. The character development and intriguing plot kept me interested all the way through. The significant challenges that one of the characters had faced in their love life and their ability to overcome the past was truly inspiring and the magnetic chemistry had just the right level of spice for this story! I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next after that cliffhanger! 5 Stars! Goodreads Synopsis: A tarnished, Russian genius. A blinded CFO. Until one night when he has no choice in the matter and the tables turn…Jack needs Kristina’s help. And she’s the only one who can help him. And the hits just keep rolling! What an interesting romance! I loved the unique personalities of the characters and learning about their history. They also each showed excellent growth and development throughout the story. There were some spelling, grammar, and wording issues here and there that I noticed throughout the story which definitely disrupted the flow of my reading, however, they did not detract from the great story. This is the 5th book in the Ford Brothers series and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next one! 4 Stars! Goodreads Synopsis: An underloved widower. Her younger, sexy, CEO neighbor. The move that changes more than her address... A stranger helps save her husband’s life one fateful night. Little does she know that months later that same stranger will save hers, too, in a completely different way. Amelia Price marries her high school sweetheart. Can he be there for her without altering their friendship? Can he help her see that her life hasn’t turned out the way that it should? Wow! Yet another addictive story by Sandra Alex! Slippery When Wet is the fourth book in the Ford Brothers Series and I again I did not want to put it down. The characters Alex writes have such interesting personalities and histories and they just draw you in right from the start. The plot was quite interesting and kept me interested all the way through with the perfect amount of drama and spice. There were some spelling, grammar, and wording issues here and there that I noticed throughout the story as well as a couple of times when the wrong name was used. These errors definitely disrupted the flow of my reading, however, they did not detract from the great story. The was one plot point that was confusing. Without giving any spoilers away there were some side characters and their connection wasn't consistent each time they were part of the story. I love that there is an extended epilogue available for each story in the series to be able to get to see where the characters are once a bit of time has passed. It also makes for a great transition into the next book in the series! 3 Stars! |
