Sawyer is part of a larger anthology, Evil Queen: A Charity Anthology, which is an annual anthology supporting women's empowerment. This edition's proceeds are supporting the charity WriteGirl, which is a creative writing and mentoring organization that empowers teen girls. This was such a powerful story of this character overcoming a huge challenge and beating the cycle that was her family history. I loved that it was focused around one of the characters from O'Connor's Eternal Port Valley series and gave us a look back into her past. It was great after reading the first 2 books of that series to gain more insight into what Sawyer has overcome to get where she is now. Definitely one I recommend! 5 Stars!
