Book Reviews & Thoughts |
Goodreads Synopsis: Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak? November 9 by Colleen Hoover | Goodreads What an astounding story filled with ups, downs, twists, and turns. Some of the dips and turns deep enough and sharp enough they left me shocked and overwhelmed by the direction the story was taking. As usual, Hoover's writing had me so addicted that I did not want to stop reading and I flew through the book anxious to find out what would happen next. The character's emotions, experiences, and growth are so well written that I felt I could truly empathize with many of their experiences. To say the final third of the book is a gut punch is putting it lightly. What an unexpected, heart wrenching but yet freeing and uplifting way to conclude the story! Definitely a novel I will be talking about and recommending! 5 Stars!
